Why?
Ask yourself the reason of your actions.
‘Why’, a words which transforms your life if you use it. We often do things to impress others or to be considered a part of the group. People rarely ask themselves the questions, ‘why am I doing this?’. It turns out that when you start asking the right questions, right answers start coming to you.
Many of our actions are guided by our material needs and desires. The reason could be either to show off to the society or to fulfill personal needs, depends on the person. But both reasons have one thing in common, they are all needs and desires that are controlled by others. Let me explain, lets say you want to earn a million dollar, that’s your goal. You start working hard to make that million dollar and when you achieve it, your reason to work ends and you feel contempt. Now there’s no direction to your life. Let’s change the scenario with a person wanting to achieve financial stability to make his community’s life easier. He works hard, earns a million dollar but still continuous to work just to see his friends and family happy. Same goal, earn a million dollar, but both had a very different purpose attached to there life. One wanted to fit into the standards of the society and the other wanted to make someone happy.
When you do something with a purpose attached to it, there is more than just hard work that you put-in in order to fulfill that task. It’s the purpose that makes the difference in what kind of person you will become while you do the task and in the end. The sole purpose of mankind to flourish on earth is to find happiness and live with it. Whatever task you do, deep down the reason is to experience joy and happiness. But rarely do we focus on this aspect. We always associate happiness with material things and pleasure and forget to look for the spiritual and personal wellbeing. When you start asking WHY before you do anything, you take a pause, analyze the task and find a reason to do the task. All for the purpose of fulfilling personal spiritual goals and serving other.
It’s a simple question to ask and to find purpose of the life. Deep down everything you do will have a reason behind it, but you have to train yourself to find and associate with the ones that are good for you. Just ask why to work on this, why to get this, why to visit that place. You will become a completely different person once you start asking the right question.
tl;dr
The power of asking "why" can transform your life. Many of our actions are driven by external desires, but when you attach a deeper purpose to your goals, you find fulfillment. The true purpose in life is to find happiness and wellbeing. By asking "why" before you act, you can align your actions with your spiritual goals and serving others. So, start asking the right questions and discover a new, more meaningful path in life.
